Here's one that surprises almost everyone. A ceiling fan doesn't actually cool down a room.
It doesn't lower the temperature at all. It just moves air across your skin, which makes you feel cooler in the moment, but the room itself stays exactly the same temperature the whole time.
That's why it feels so much better standing under one on a hot day, even though nothing about the room has actually changed. Which also means leaving a fan running in an empty room isn't cooling anything, it's just using electricity.
Zip Mechanical shares tips like this to help you get more out of your system.
Save this and turn off the fan next time you leave the room.
