At the Puget Sound JATC, lab environments are designed to bridge classroom instruction with real-world application.

In the AC (Alternating Current) Theory Lab with instructor Brian Whitby, these apprentices are gaining hands-on experience in a safe, controlled setting before those skills are put to work in the field.

At Northlake Commons, more than 65,000 square feet of outdoor space, sweeping views, and a deep connection to the Dunn family history come together on the north shores of Lake Union. This project was brought to life with the expertise of Holmes Electric, a NECA Puget Sound member contractor.

Where does the next generation of electricians get its start?

At the Puget Sound Electrical JATC, apprentices combine classroom learning with hands-on experience in the field—developing the skills that help build and power our communities.

Through a partnership between IBEW Local 46 and NECA Puget Sound, with training facilities in Renton, Bremerton, and Sequim, apprentices have the opportunity to earn while they learn as they prepare for a career in the electrical industry.
