This one found a home too.
The first, and only for now, of a series I’ve been wanting to come back to.
It’s always a mix of feelings letting certain pieces go,
but also really good to see them go where they’re meant to be.
When the time is right, I’ll come back to this series. (hint, the title is Bandon Sixteen and the series title will be “The Approach”)

It meant a lot to me this weekend to see and hear such great responses to these pieces. ❤️
They both sold and I’m thrilled because this is work that I personally love -I love the other stuff I do too but I feel most drawn to my figure paintings. For a long time they felt more personal and harder to share but I kept making them.
It felt really good to see them connect with so many others. I’m excited to be able to make more big ones✨

This past weekend meant a lot to me.

I sold two of my larger figure paintings…
work I’ve been drawn to making for over 20 years.

For a long time, these figure pieces felt more personal…and a little harder to share. But I kept making them, feeling a compulsion that I can’t quite explain.

But something recently shifted for me and I started sharing them more often.

It felt really good to see them connect with someone else.

I’m feeling encouraged to keep going in this direction.

Had a great weekend in the gallery and in the studio but now I'm spent...and so is she... the whole family felt it for the past couple weeks.
It was stressful to get it all done in time but it came together and I felt really good about it.
I'll share more soon, had to take a few days to decompress afterwards.
One more weekend of bouncing back and forth between the two!

Had a great spring cleaning session last night getting the studio ready for the studio tour this weekend. The other artists are starting to move in today. It’s been a hard good push this last week or two and I’m excited for the weekend to relax a little bit!
