This 'dango' is the first Cement Sculpture that was produced by me as a result of the instructions and guidance received online via the Mesa Arts Center. The obvious advantage was the combination of working at my own house and at my own pace. Now that I know the technique I will be making more. Online art classes...whodda thunk it?

My latest piece is a shrine with focus elements a cast iron tile that is a cubist face behind wooden "trees" and a copper milagro representing the heart-lung organs which are the most vulnerable to the COVID-19 virus. I call the piece "Into the Woods" as representing my attitude about how we move forward in the new normal of our everyday life.
