Another project wrapped up in Guilderland. This front porch features TimberTech decking paired with the RDI railing system and Tristan top rail. While white railings aren’t something we install very often, they complement this home really well and came together with a clean, timeless look.

July is here and I’m looking to fill the remaining openings in my late summer and early fall schedule.

Whether you’re planning a larger project or have a smaller one that’s been on the to-do list, I’d be happy to take a look.

This year has come with its share of loss and challenges. I’m grateful for the patience and understanding from my clients through it all. That doesn’t go unnoticed.

This is one of the projects that rolled over from last year and is finally nearing the finish line. Full porch rebuild and upgrade, stamped walkways and patio, drainage improvements, grading and exterior finish work. The final railing install is being held until the window replacement is completed, but I’m happy with how this one came together.

Looking forward to getting a few more solid projects lined up and completed this season.

Stamped concrete has become one of the most cost effective options for outdoor spaces this year.

With material costs rising across the board, especially lumber and composite decking, deck projects are coming in significantly higher than they were just a few years ago. When comparing similar square footage, stamped concrete patios are often around one third of the cost of a deck.

Both options have their place depending on layout and use, but if the goal is to maximize space while staying within budget, concrete is delivering a lot more value right now.

As always, proper prep and installation are what determine how well it performs long term.
