Happy National Children’s Day! 🧒👧 One of the biggest things parents ask us during a remodel or basement finish is: 'How do we keep the noise down?'

Whether you have a sleeping newborn upstairs or teenagers hanging out in the basement, managing sound transfer changes how your home feels. Here’s a quick breakdown of how we manage noise; from quick DIY fixes to behind-the-walls prep.

Is the "all-gray" look finally out? We think so.

For a long time, cool grays and matte black hardware were the standard for a modern home. But lately, we've noticed a major shift toward spaces that feel a bit more "human" and inviting.

In our recent projects, homeowners are trading those industrial tones for warm, natural woods and the soft glow of brushed modern brass. It’s a combination that adds instant character and makes a basement feel less like a "lower level" and more like a high-end extension of the main home.

Take this recent laundry and bathroom combo. The light wood vanity paired with those modern gold fixtures creates a vibe that’s clean, bright, and cozy all at once. It’s a trend we’re definitely getting behind as we help our clients design spaces they actually want to spend time in.

What’s your take? Are you still loving the sleek gray and matte black look, or are you ready for the warmth of wood and brass? Let us know in the comments!

Swipe to see how we turned a rough, unfinished utility area into a premium bathroom and laundry suite. This transformation is a perfect example of how we take a project from concept to completion.

We don’t just handle the finishing touches; we manage the entire heavy-lifting phase, including the trenching and plumbing work you see in the second photo. By adhering to our 'Code-Plus' building standards, we ensure every detail: from the drainage to the final tile: is built to last and adds real value to the home.

Our design-build process is all about making your lower level feel like an integrated extension of your main living space, rather than just a 'basement.' Whether it's high-end cabinetry or a custom walk-in shower, we focus on craftsmanship that stands the test of time.

Ready to reclaim your unfinished space? Let’s talk about your vision. Visit us at www.eaglecustom.us to learn more.

Solving problems with a little transparency.

We recently completed a quick but impactful project at Lake Ridge Bank’s Middleton location. This particular office was the only one without a view of the bullpen area, making it difficult for colleagues to know if the person inside was busy on a call or available to chat.

To keep disruptions to a minimum, we prepped the entire window assembly in our shop first. This allowed us to arrive on-site, cut the opening, and handle the installation and trim with surgical precision. By doing the heavy lifting beforehand, we slashed the time spent making noise in a busy bank environment.

Whether it’s a high-end basement or a commercial touch-up, we focus on smart solutions and efficient ex*****on.

It wouldn’t be a true holiday in Wisconsin if we didn’t celebrate National Cheese Day! 🧀

Whether you’re a fan of aged cheddar or fresh squeaky curds, every world-class cheese spread needs a proper home. We think this custom dry bar nook we recently finished is the perfect candidate. Between the rich cherry cabinets and those sleek floating shelves, it’s a space designed for hosting and showing off the best of what our local area has to offer.

At Eagle Custom Builders, we specialize in turning unfinished lower levels into premium living spaces that feel like a natural extension of the main home. A dedicated space like this nook makes entertaining easy, keeping the snacks and drinks within reach while you enjoy a movie night or a big game.

For today’s feature, we're throwing it back to this custom bathroom build. We crafted a solid-walnut floating top with matching bottom drawers. Because the plumbing underneath is exposed, we went with a sharp chrome drain setup to keep the whole look clean and intentional.

We always want to shoot straight with you: a solid wood vanity top isn't the right choice for everyone. It takes a little extra effort to keep it looking pristine in an environment where water can sit. But if you don't mind wiping up the occasional splash, we think the final result looks absolutely awesome.

Beautiful custom carpentry paired with honest, practical advice; that's the Eagle Standard. What do you think of the floating wood vanity look?

May 27: Throwback to when we built out our current shop space!

When you build for a living, you learn exactly what makes a workspace function. Notice the electrical outlets every 4 feet? We hate tripping over extension cords. We also placed them specifically just above the 4-foot mark so they never get blocked when we need to lean a sheet of plywood against the wall. Add in plenty of overhead lighting, and it's a shop built for real work.

We put a ton of thought and practical planning into our own spaces, and you can trust we’ll put that exact same level of thought into how you'll actually live in and use yours.
