Behind the build. 🌿
For the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden’s centennial, we had the honor of creating something truly rooted in place — a botanical photo moment handcrafted from materials gathered from the garden itself. California natives, wild foliage, textures the garden has been stewarding for 100 years.

Our team worked side by side to bring it to life — arranging, layering, and coaxing every element into something that felt like it had always belonged there. The kind of work that takes many hands, a shared eye, and a deep love for the living world.

100 years of wild beauty. We were so grateful to be part of the celebration.

Behind every wall we hang and every frame we build, there's a steady pair of hands making it happen. Alfredo has been part of the Lush Elements crew for 5 years, and we honestly couldn't do what we do without him.

From cutting wood and building frames to installing trays and tackling whatever a job site throws our way — Alfredo brings skill, care, and calm to every project. He's the kind of person who shows up ready, works hard, and takes pride in the details.

We're so grateful to have him on the team. 💚

Terra Basche, Founder and Lead Designer, is an artist who loves to get her hands dirty. Born and raised on the Hawaiian Islands and growing a family in Santa Barbara has inspired her to mimic nature’s beauty. With an eye for design, Terra is able to take a challenge and make it a reality for anyone who wishes to bring nature’s beauty to life within a space. Working with a variety of natural materials and systems allows Terra to design in a myriad of spaces indoors and outdoors, vertically and floor bound. Terra has built an impressive network of artisans and growers who bring stunningly unique elements to each custom project.
