There is no better system than a salt softener. Many companies will claim to have technology equal to a salt system, but it’s not true. The salt system removes all hard water deposits that build up inside your valves, faucets, appliances, and even your pipes. It also eliminates spotting on your tile and glass. It is also good for your hair and skin. The carbon filter adds to the purification process in the system.
I installed this system in a new custom home. The hose bibs are isolated from the softener so they can be used to water plants. The R/O system feeds 2 ice makers and a dispenser faucet at the sink. This can be used for making coffee or filling your pets water bowl.
This is the best configuration for any home.
