Aren’t they pretty?

I was supposed to post an update on my plant room but I lost my voice so I had to post this instead 😅

Trouble in paradise…

Somehow my tissue culture Monsteras got thrips and I genuinely have NO idea how. I haven’t brought any new plants in, they haven’t been outside, and yet… here we are.

Could I treat them and fight for their survival? Probably. Am I going to? Probably not. I genuinely cannot be bothered, so these will probably be heading straight to the trash.

My biggest concern isn’t even the Monsteras—it’s the box of Hoyas they were sitting with. So now those are getting quarantined while I hope and pray nobody hitched a ride. Luckily my Hoya have been super resilient against thrips. The thinner leaf ones might suffer though.

Sometimes you have to choose your battles, and thrips are NOT mine.
