Throwback to a project we completed a while back and still one of our favorite transformations. 🔥

We installed a brand-new weather barrier with Structalath, expansion joints placed to the homeowner’s preference, followed by scratch & brown, a full Crack Isolation System, and a smooth finish ✨

The final result came out stunning. This cookie-cutter style home did a complete 180° transformation and now has a look of its own. 👌🏽

A few months ago, we walked this project and identified several waterproofing issues that needed to be addressed before moving forward.

Thankfully, the homeowner and contractor trusted our recommendation and removed and reframed all of the damaged areas. Now everything is being done the right way from the start. 💪🏽

Next up: full stucco system on the repaired areas plus the new addition in the back. Stay tuned for the transformation! 🏠🔥

We’re proud to have partnered with David Ridge on this beautiful Point Loma project, where we completed a full stucco system from the substrate to the final finish on this amazing ADU.

Our process included:

✔️ 2-ply 60-minute Grade D building paper for superior moisture protection
✔️ StructaLath reinforcement, exceeding industry standards for strength and durability
✔️ Traditional scratch & brown coat application to create a solid, long-lasting foundation
✔️ Crack Isolation System (CIS) to help minimize surface cracking over time
✔️ Properly placed expansion joints to allow for natural building movement
✔️ Custom drip edge detail engineered to divert water away from the wall-to-soffit transition, helping prevent staining, moisture intrusion, and premature stucco failure
✔️ Finished with a premium 20/30 sand finish for a clean, timeless look

Details matter.🔥
Bay Ho project we recently wrapped up featuring a traditional lace finish on this custom addition.
With an open upstairs deck and panoramic door below leading to the backyard/pool, precision was everything on this one. Always a pleasure to work with GC’s who share the same principles and work ethic 🤝
We paid extra attention to trim installation so the tile layout lands clean and seamless—because real craftsmanship is in the prep, not just the finish. 👌🏽🕵️‍♂️

Anyone can slap stucco on a wall. Not everyone thinks ahead for the trades that come after. 🙇‍♂️
