🌸 Calling my local West Virginians! 🌸

We’re officially opening up a limited number of appointments for our very first cut flower experience at Sweethaven Haynie Farm! 💐

This is our first growing season & we originally treated this year as a trial-and-learning year while we figured out what grows best on our property. But our flowers have surprised us in the best way — we have enough beautiful blooms to start welcoming a few people out to experience the field for themselves!

Right now, our gladiolus are ready to be picked, with more zinnias coming along and sunflowers still to come! 🌻

Because this is our first year, we’re keeping things small, personal & appointment-only with very limited availability.

If you’re local to West Virginia & would be interested in coming out to walk the flower field, hand-pick your own blooms & take home a bouquet you gathered yourself, send me a message! 🩷

I’d love to see how much interest there is as we begin opening our little flower farm to the community.

A small win with BIG opportunities ahead. 🌾🇺🇸

Caleb & I were officially accepted into the Farmer Veteran Coalition!

This opens the door to the Homegrown by Heroes label, grants, conferences, networking, education, mentorship, and tons of resources to help us continue growing Sweethaven Haynie Farm.

We’re still in the beginning stages of establishing this land and building the vision we have for it, so opportunities like this mean more than I can explain.

Two veterans, a piece of West Virginia land, a whole lot of dreams, and one more step forward. 🌾🤍

Happy Thursday, friends! 🌿

I’m doing my best to keep up with all the platforms, but this one tends to get neglected a little. 🫢 I still haven’t figured out how to cross-post to multiple platforms at once—only one at a time.

This weekend we’re heading back to the Wild & Wonderful to hit the ground running. Caleb is finishing up a client’s pantry and then jumping right into building their bedroom closets.

Meanwhile, I’m a little nervous to see what the garden has been up to while we’ve been away. 🫣 I’m crossing my fingers the weeds haven’t completely taken over 🫠 and hoping another harvest is right around the corner. 🥕🥬🌻

As much as I’m excited for everything fall brings, I’m just not ready for summer to be over. We’ve been running nonstop, making memories, chasing adventures, and soaking up every bit of this season while we can. ☀️❤️

August, please slow down. 🩷💚

Happy Friday, friends! ☀️

Life has felt beautifully busy lately.

Yesterday, I finally unpacked my favorite coffee mug after an entire year of our kitchen belongings being tucked away in boxes. It reminded me how much joy can be found in the smallest moments.

Lately, we’ve been celebrating things that once felt ordinary:
• Running our first load of dishes in the new dishwasher.
• Turning on our new kitchen faucet for the first time.
• Enjoying the handmade cabinets and island Caleb built with his own hands.

We still have plenty left to finish—the pantry, range hood, remaining cabinets, and backsplash—but for the first time, our kitchen feels like a place we can truly enjoy.

On the woodworking side, another custom order is coming together beautifully. Caleb is currently building a pantry, and I can’t wait to see the finished result.

Meanwhile, the cut flower garden is thriving. Our first gladiolus blooms are beginning to emerge, and the dahlias won’t be far behind. 🌸

Stay tuned for details on our upcoming “Come & Cut” flower days—we can’t wait to share them with you! 🌷✨

Happy Saturday, everyone! ☀️

This morning was absolutely beautiful. I was out working in the fields by 6:45, watching the sun slowly burn through the fog. It was one of those peaceful mornings that makes you stop and soak it all in. 🤍

‼️ Flower Field Update ‼️

🌷 The gladiolus and dahlias are officially popping through!
🩷 The snapdragons are growing beautifully.
💚 Everything else is still making progress.
➡️ We’re hoping to begin flower picking around mid-to-late July!

🌻🎃 We’re also planting sunflowers and pumpkins this weekend, with plans for sunflower picking in September and pumpkin picking in October!

There are so many exciting updates happening here at Sweethaven! 🛠️

This week, we picked up a chicken coop from Marketplace. We had absolutely no plans to buy chickens that same day—but after stopping at Tractor Supply for a few things, we somehow came home with 10 baby chicks! 🐣 We are completely in love with them, especially the girls. Brooke is already so gentle and wonderful with them. 🩷💚

We also had our countertops installed on the same day we picked up the coop! The final piece for our kitchen island will be delivered Wednesday, which means our kitchen should finally be almost finished this coming week. 🙌🏼

So many sweet things are growing and coming together here at Sweethaven! 🌸🌻🐣

Happy Friday, friends!! ✨

So many exciting things are happening around here lately 🤍

This week we had our upper cabinets and cabinet doors installed. Caleb also finished the beautiful pillars for the kitchen island. It’s finally starting to feel like our dream kitchen is coming together 🥹

I think what I’m most excited about though are the copper hardware pieces, handles, and sink faucet still waiting to be installed. I absolutely love the vintage warmth they add against the clean white ✨

I’ve also been adding lots of new products to our Etsy shop, and orders have been coming in which has been such a blessing lately 🤍

Last night, I sanded the pantry & will be painting this weekend. Caleb has a super cool design for the pantry that I am stoked for.

We also have a big wood pickup planned this coming week for a project we’ve been so excited to start — we’ve just been waiting for a break in all this rain 🌧️

And finally… garden season is HERE 🌱
My seedlings are ready, the weather finally seems warm enough to stay, and everything is going into the ground this week. I can’t wait to watch our cut flower garden and veggie garden come to life 🌻🥕✨

Happy Saturday, friends!!!

Caleb & I have been burning the midnight oil lately trying to bring this kitchen to life…the heart of our home finally come together which has been such an exciting feeling for us. The girls have definitely been enjoying the cabinets just as much as we have. 🤍

Monday we have the laser measurements scheduled for the countertops we picked out, so things are really starting to move quickly now. We ended up falling back in love with white quartz — soft, subtle veining and all.

Today was also our very first day of hardening off the garden and flower seedlings! I’ve been so hesitant to plant with these cooler temperatures still hanging around but we are moving quickly with the fields now that the temperatures seem to be more stable now.

We also finally said goodbye to our 28-year-old water heater 🤯 — thankfully it gave us a slow leak instead of flooding the whole house. Between a brand new water heater, the kitchen coming together, and two fields being established, there’s a whole lot happening around here lately. 💪🏼

The evenings are still chilly, the seedlings still aren’t quite ready, and the days feel long sometimes… but the prettiest things take time. 🌱

Slow roots still grow deep.
And one day, all this waiting will bloom beautifully.

Happy Sunday, everyone! 🤍
I finally finished refreshing our Etsy shop last night—and it’s officially live! It was definitely due for a little glow-up. 😆

Right now I’m working on adding SVG files for cutting board engraving, plus Cricut-ready designs with quotes and details to add that extra touch of charm to any project. I will update you all whenever another product is added to our shop 🛍️

And TONIGHT… I’ll be announcing our giveaway winners!! This was such a big one, and I’m so excited to share it with you all. I’ll be posting the results with a screen recording of the winner selection so you can see everything is completely fair and transparent 🤍

The link to our shop is in our bio!
