Finished another re-roof in Spanish Fork. This customer had so many roofing companies knocking on his door it was overwhelming. He was referred to us by a previous customer on Facebook. Our zero pressure, knowledge building, visit is just what this customer needed.
During the introduction we discussed the concerns he had with his 27 year old roof.
During the inspection we documented everything we found, the good and the bad.
We hopped down, climbed the ladder carefully, and explained everything we found. That same day we sent our proposal and all the photos we took during the inspection.

We were called back within two days to get the roof completed.

Mixing shingles is not a good idea if you’re trying to protect what’s under them from water. Shingle manufacturers changed their specs on the shingles often, just like most other manufacturers. So even if you found the same brand and style of shingle. There’s a good chance that it could be a different size than it was a few years ago.
The the length, the width, and the nail strip are all critical measurements on the shingle. If you mix different manufacturers together, these measurements may not lineup and put you at risk for water getting underneath the shingle and into your home.

We showed up to look at a roof after another roofing company came and took samples of the shingle and then neglected to respond to the homeowner over a three month period. These were placed over the area where samples were taken. This is not the correct method to install shingles. .

Here is one we completed today. A young couple just bought their house. State Farm inspected the roof and found two shingles damaged.
This is an old 3-Tab shingle that is discontinued. Can you see the repair? The color was so close the owner couldn’t tell until I pointed out the architectural design in the new shingle.
