A Fancy Dip deserves a Fancy Wash.

Fancy Dips is now offering pressure washing as an add on service for pool decks, patios, equipment pads, driveways, and other exterior areas that could use a cleanup.

If I'm already taking care of the pool, why not help take care of the area around it too?

If you'd like to add a Fancy Wash to an upcoming service, send me a message or just ask me next time I'm there.

One less thing to worry about.

October’s issue of THE DIP is here.
The weather is changing, the water is changing, and things are getting a little strange in the deep end.
This month we’re talking seasonal changes, disappearing water, a simple bucket test you can do at home, and our first ever Pool Horror Story.
And as always, a little look at life from the route.

Yesterday marked one year since I officially started Fancy Dips.
I had every intention of making this post yesterday, but I ended up working all day. I guess that's a pretty fitting way to spend the anniversary.
It's kind of crazy looking back at where I was a year ago compared to where I'm at now. What started with me just trying to build something of my own has turned into my full time job and a route full of people who trust me with their pools every week.
I'm definitely not where I want to be yet, but I'm proud of how far it's come in its first year.
To all of my customers, everyone who's recommended me to somebody, shared one of my posts, or supported what I'm doing, thank you. I really do appreciate it.
One year down.
Let's see what year two brings.

Sunday morning reminder that summer isn't quite finished with us yet.

Still plenty of swimming weather left here in St. Pete.

Hope everybody gets a chance to enjoy it today.

Sometimes a pool just gets ahead of you.
The homeowner had been doing her best to keep up with this one, but Florida heat, heavy rain and a little black algae eventually became a much bigger problem.
By the time she called Fancy Dips, the algae had spread throughout the pool and the water chemistry needed some serious attention.
Over the next few days, I worked through it properly. Repeated brushing, targeted treatment, water balancing, filtration and vacuuming to waste.
No overnight miracle. Just knowing what the water needed and giving the process time to work.
These three photos tell the rest of the story.
And now that the recovery is behind us, this pool is joining the Fancy Dips Club for weekly service.

One less thing to worry about.

Labor Day plans should be simple.
Good food. Good company. A pool that's ready when you are.
Enjoy the long weekend.

September is here. Issue No. 004 of THE DIP is here with it.

Another Florida summer is starting to wind down, but around here, September still has plenty of summer left in it.
This month's issue is a little bit of looking back, a little bit of looking closer, and everything I've picked up from ten summers spent around pools here in Pinellas County.

Four issues in, THE DIP is starting to find its rhythm. Thank you to everyone who's been following along, and especially to my Fancy Dips customers who make this little monthly journal possible.

Here’s Issue No. 004.

Last day of August.

Summer isn't done with us yet.

The Fancy Dips Club.

If you own a pool in Florida, taking care of it isn't really optional. The only question is who's taking care of it.

For almost a year now, I've been building Fancy Dips one pool at a time. Weekly service, green pool recoveries, problem water, preventative care, and everything in between.

And somewhere along the way, it became more than a route.

It became the Fancy Dips Club.

There's no gimmick behind the name. It's simply the pools and people I have the privilege of taking care of, with one standard in mind: clean, balanced water that's ready when you are.

As Fancy Dips heads into year two, I'm ready to grow the Club.

10 years of local pool experience.

Swimmable water isn’t a luxury. It should be the standard.
If you’re paying for pool service, you should feel confident that your pool is clean, balanced, and ready whenever you are.
Fancy Dips was built around a simple idea. Give homeowners exactly what they’re paying for. A pool they can actually enjoy.
Whether it’s the middle of summer, a week full of Florida rain, or just a random afternoon when you feel like jumping in, your pool should be ready.
That’s the standard at Fancy Dips.
One less thing to worry about. One more reason to jump in.
