Long post alert…

Just got home from a long hot day. I
Spent about 2 hours with a wonderful couple today. Their house took some hurricane damages from Milton and are still dealing with their insurance company to get it repaired. They laughed, they cried and we all got to know each other. The repairs they needed are out of my scope of work for “handyman” work but I still stayed and was able to offer them a few referral of some of my GCs that I trust.

As I was leaving I looked up and noticed they have no gutters. I asked them about it and they wanted them right away. Bam! It’s not the biggest house or biggest job, but earning their trust was what I was there to accomplish and I succeeded. I have now become their trusted project manager to help navigate some of the nonsense that they just can’t help with.

I tell this story because, I’m not Superman and I can’t “because of licensing” do everything… but I know a lot of great folks in the business that can help.

I have never meant it so much in my life…. “Need any home repairs or remodels… you know a guy!”
