🏠 Another Attic & Crawlspace Taken Care of in Northern Michigan!

This project involved improvements from the attic all the way down to the crawlspace!

🔹 ATTIC SPACE
We added additional baffles to help maintain proper ventilation and airflow throughout the attic. We then topped off the existing insulation with cellulose loose-fill insulation to help improve the home’s overall comfort and energy efficiency.

🔹 CRAWLSPACE
Down below, we performed a complete cleanout of the old fiberglass insulation and existing v***r barrier.

Once everything was cleaned up, we installed a new 12-mil v***r barrier, carefully taping all seams to create a clean, properly prepared crawlspace.

The crawlspace is now ready for TLC Spray Foam Solutions to come cin and apply 2 inches of closed-cell spray foam to all exterior crawlspace walls, helping create a much better insulated and protected space.

From the attic to the crawlspace, doing the job correctly starts with proper preparation. 💪

Do you have older recessed lighting in the ceilings of your home? 💡
Certain recessed fixtures need proper fire-rated protective covers or required clearance before insulation can safely be installed over or around them.

What about your bathroom exhaust fans? 🚿
If they’re venting directly into your attic, that warm, moist air can contribute to condensation, mold, and moisture problems. Bathroom exhaust should be properly vented to the exterior through an appropriate roof or wall termination.

Before adding more insulation, make sure the important details are taken care of first.

Another couple of projects in the books for K And Sons Attic Solutions! 🏠💪

📍 Waters, MI — We installed proper ventilation baffles and finished the attic with a 12-inch top-off of loose-fill cellulose insulation, helping improve the home’s comfort and energy efficiency heading into the colder months.

📍 Vassar, MI — This crawlspace received a complete fiberglass insulation removal, followed by installation of a 12-mil v***r barrier with all seams properly taped and sealed. Next up will be 2 inches of closed-cell spray foam on the exterior crawlspace walls to complete the insulation system.
