Firm stances an artist must learn to stick to.
*No NFT sales. I don't even know what that is. Unless it buys my groceries, don't ask to pay me in anything other than American money. This is how I feed my family.
*No holds, I don't care if it matches your dining room perfectly. I will not take down a listing for you to have me sit on a piece of art until you're ready. Don't care if you're my sister, auntie, 3rd grade teacher, This is how I feed my family.
*Commissions: first paid, first made.
Yes, even if you're my friend....ya know what, Epecially if you're my friend!! Friends are often terrible with following through on a sale. And that is robbing my time that could have been spent on a real paying commission. If you want to really support your artist friend, don't ask for discounts and don't leave us hanging. Being my friend, you should realize that this is how I feed my family.
*Asking your artist friend to make you something that you never pick up or pay for.... d**k move.
That's showing me that you think my job is joke, a hobby, but this is how I feed my family.
*I cannot rush an order and disrupt my schedule because you didn't order soon enough... I mean unless you paid me to drop everything to do so.
Because this is how I feed my family.
*If you think art is just a fun thing I do so I'd happily give it away.... no. This is how I feed my family.
*If you wanna be a supportive customer to an artist, don't downplay their career as a silly hobby, help them continue to feed their family.
