Think a flare fitting just needs to be “good and tight”? Think again. Without the proper flaring tools and a torque wrench, leaks like this are common. A quality installation is all about the details. 🔧❄️

🚫 Don’t do this to your AC unit!

Your outdoor unit is built to handle the weather. Adding a roof or cover too close to it can restrict airflow, reduce efficiency, and lead to costly repairs.

If you do build one, leave at least 2–3 feet of clearance on all sides and 5–6 feet of open space above the unit so it can breathe properly.

When in doubt, ask a professional before building around your system!

PSA: Your outdoor AC unit is designed to cool your home... not stop your vehicle. 😅🚗💥

While outdoor units are built to handle rain, hail, and years of service, they're not exactly engineered to survive being used as a parking brake. If your condenser has been bumped, backed into, or hit by anything, it's a good idea to have it inspected. Damage to the coil, fan, or refrigerant lines isn't always obvious, but it can lead to costly repairs if left unchecked.
