Description:
A lawn care team member is an entry level position that works under the direct supervision of a team leader to perform common lawn maintenance tasks – mowing, string trimming, pruning, debris removal, cleanup, and other similar duties related to the care of lawns, plants, parking lots, outdoor living spaces, and landscape bed areas.
Prerequisite skills:
• No prerequisite skills are necessary. Training is provided in house & by participation in educational seminars & trade shows from time to time.
Job requirements:
• Ability to work outdoors year-round and during all types weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
• Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Wearing appropriate safety gear when operating equipment
• Willingness to follow verbal and/or written directions.
• Ability to follow a work schedule and complete paperwork each day.
• High school diploma or GED
Job duties & responsibilities:
• Safely operate lawn maintenance equipment - commercial lawn mowers, string trimmers, leaf blowers, lawn edger’s, hedge trimmers, power saws, and other related equipment.
• Shaping and pruning of shrubs and trees with handheld tools and power equipment.
• Removal of trash, w**ds, grass clippings, and other debris from each jobsite
• Cleaning & general upkeep of equipment
• Loading and unloading trucks and trailers
Additional duties & responsibilities may include:
• Removing old landscape materials
• Installation of materials such as plants, mulch, soil, seed, sod, edging, water lines, sprinkler heads, etc
• Hand watering newly installed plant material
• Other similar duties as required
Pay based on experience
