"Growing up near Canton Quarry, I was always fascinated by RGI's big equipment, though I was too young to fully understand what the company did. Nearly five years ago—as a newly married man with a baby on the way—I was looking for a long-term career where I could plant roots. I applied at RGI with zero industry experience, bringing only a strong work ethic and the drive to provide for my family.

What I thought might just be another job turned into so much more. I work alongside some of the best people on earth—colleagues who genuinely care about your family and well-being. Over the years, I have progressed from shoveling asphalt to driving a haul truck, operating a yard loader, digging out a crusher, running a plant, and now serving as a pit loader operator. RGI is a place where you can arrive with goals and dedication, and the company will support you in achieving them. I am living proof of that, and I am grateful every day for the opportunities RGI provides for me and my family. I thank God for all he has done for not only me but my family."

- Austin Hendricks, Pit Loader Operator, Hopkinsville Aggregates (Western Kentucky SMA)

Thanks to our participants, sponsors and volunteers, we raised just over $123,000 for United Way of Greater Nashville, setting a new fundraising record for the annual event.

Congratulations to all of this year’s winners and thank you to everyone who helped make the event a success. Your support makes a lasting difference in our communities!

“I grew up in a farming family, so I was raised with an appreciation for hard work and the importance of giving back to the communities where you live and work. After spending several years in the tech industry, I was looking for an opportunity that aligned more closely with those values. Rogers Group stood out because its work has a direct impact on the communities we serve—from the roads people drive on every day to the partnerships and charitable initiatives that strengthen the places we call home.

As an Executive Assistant and Event Planner, my role is much more than managing calendars. I support our executive leadership and Board of Directors, plan companywide meetings and leadership events, oversee our corporate charitable contributions program, and help create opportunities that bring our people together and strengthen our connection to the communities we serve. I enjoy being part of the work that happens behind the scenes to help our leaders, employees, and communities succeed.”

Rogers Group Inc. was proud to be represented in Washington, D.C., for the 2026 NSSGA Legislative & Policy Forum, where members of the aggregates, asphalt and ready mixed concrete industries came together to engage with policymakers on issues affecting our industry and the communities we serve.

Twenty RGI representatives participated in this year’s forum, connecting with industry peers and taking part in meetings on Capitol Hill to share firsthand perspectives from our operations and workforce.

Among the issues discussed were:

🔴 Long-Term Infrastructure Investment — Supporting a strong, multi-year surface transportation reauthorization that provides greater certainty for infrastructure planning and investment.

🔴 Permitting Reform — Discussing ways to improve the federal permitting process while maintaining appropriate environmental protections.

🔴 Workforce Development — Supporting programs and policies that strengthen the pipeline of skilled professionals entering the aggregates, construction and mining industries.

🔴 Tax & Investment Policies — Discussing policies affecting capital investment, innovation and continued growth within the construction materials industry.

🔴 Material Neutrality — Supporting performance-based approaches that allow construction materials to compete fairly based on project needs.

We’re grateful to our RGI team members who took the time to represent our company and share the perspective of the people who produce the materials that help build and maintain our nation’s infrastructure.

Thank you to the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA), National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) and National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) for bringing the industry together and creating opportunities for constructive conversations with policymakers.

Bullitt County Stone recently welcomed 42 sophomore Mining Engineering students from the University of Kentucky, along with six professors and graduate students, for the second consecutive year.

Students received safety training and an overview of RGI and Bullitt County Stone before rotating through three hands-on stations, including underground mine tours, discussions on mining engineering career opportunities and project work, and equipment and quality control tours.

A big thank you to Bullitt County Stone and all of the RGI employees who helped make the visit an engaging and educational experience. We look forward to welcoming the UK Mining Engineering class back next year!
