Can you build a custom pool starting in the mid-$60s? Yes. 👏

The key is being intentional with the design.

At this price point, you’re typically looking at a smaller, more streamlined pool, around 80–90 perimeter feet, with thoughtful choices when it comes to steps, ledges and benches so you can maximize your actual swimming space.

One important thing to keep in mind: that starting point is for the pool itself. A spa, decking and additional backyard features would be separate.

The pool might be the centerpiece, but don’t forget to budget for everything around it. 👀

Decking can be one of the biggest variables in your total backyard investment, and a few hundred extra square feet can add up quickly.

For a starting point of approximately 350 sq. ft.:
💧 Concrete: around $6K+
💧 Concrete pavers: around $8,500+
💧 Travertine or marble pavers: around $10K+
💧 Artificial turf: around $10/sq. ft.+

Keep in mind, most of our projects include considerably more than the minimum 350 sq. ft., so both the material you choose and the amount of space you’re covering will impact your final investment.

And don’t overlook drainage. Proper drainage is a critical part of creating a pool deck that doesn’t just look good, it functions the way it should, too.
