Saturday's nor'easter was a rare one — only about 1% of nor'easters on record form in September, and this one hit with 70+ mph gusts across New England.

Wind that strong cracks vinyl, rips panels loose, and drives water behind siding where you can't see it from the ground. Downed branches did their share of damage too.

We're offering free storm-damage siding inspections across our southern NH service area. We document everything for your insurance — storm damage is often fully covered, and most policies require prompt notice of damage, so sooner is better than later.

We are currently in the process of transforming this Merrimack colonial with Silvermine Marine Fog manufactured stone and Heat resistant PVC decking. Silvermine uses a unique flashing system that prevents water from getting behind the stone, where other systems rely on the underlayment. This prevents ice and mold from forming behind the stone. Check back next week to see their new Provia front door.

Harvey Windows with 20yr matte black finish, Everlast Spanish Moss Board and Batten Siding with Storm Gray Everlast Trim. Finished up with color match seamless gutters. Check out our review from this customer.
"We had hired the Ackerman brothers to help us do the exterior of a house we were buying which was in need of a facelift. Looking at options for siding, we didn't want vinyl with seams and the flimsy feel of this material. As a residential appraiser I had inspected a new construction house which used Everlast siding and I was sold. The siding is rigid and looks sharp. So why stop there? By the time we were done we had hired Tom and James for siding, windows, doors, gutters, and some sheetrock work inside. Every step of the way Tom thoughtfully worked with us to choose the best materials and make sure we were happy with choices. He really put the extra consideration into ensuring the work was done right and was what we needed. Our exterior will last a lifetime and then some now. We look forward to passing our home onto our children some day. Much, much appreciation Tom and James!"

Project: Install or Completely Replace Vinyl Siding
Comments: Ackerman Exteriors replaced the 45-year-old wood siding on a custom rural house, built in 1980, with vinyl siding. Included in the job were some window and door replacements, gutter installs, and other improvements to the house to address issues I had made note of over a decade of ownership. The guys did great work. The house is immeasurably better in every way, and the updates proved their worth this winter. During the lead-up and during the work, they listened to concerns and ideas, and made actionable proposals in response. After the project was finished, they followed up to ensure that everything was to my satisfaction. There were schedule slippages and material delivery delays, which is all par for the course, especially in 2025. They were communicative about the delays, and able to reorder the work accordingly. It was a big project and they handled it well. I would give Ackerman Exteriors my highest recommendation.
