Some foundations are built on more than brick and steel — they’re built on remembrance. Today we honor the lives lost on 9/11 and the courage that followed. We also appreciate and remember the first responders who served dutifully on that day, as well as those who continue to serve and protect the communities we call home. 🇺🇸

Some conversations are meant to be had face-to-face. Our Founder and CEO, Matt Green, created The Green Scene podcast to share important conversations with other innovative leaders, with a special lens at times on golf-community living and how it applies to business and life. Expect straight talk and advice, stories, and usable materials, plus leadership habits you can put to work.

If you’re an aspiring leader, someone shaping culture, or a course-side homeowner who loves how things come together, you’re in the right place.

The decisions we make as a company reflect our priorities, and we have an exciting decision to share! Our team is the heart and soul of our work, and we’re thrilled to announce that we are prioritizing their growth and wellbeing by hiring our first-ever Chief People Officer, Courtney Mumford. Courtney was most recently leading the people team at Montage Palmetto Bluff for over 10 years.

“Front Light was born from hospitality. Courtney has spent her entire career in that exact business: making people feel welcome, valued, and proud of where they work. Many of us have built homes at Palmetto Bluff and seen that culture up close. Now the person who helped build it is here, for us. She has been living our values her whole career.” - Matt Green, CEO

Courtney will serve on our Executive Leadership Team and will support our entire organization. Please wish her a warm welcome to the Front Light family!

Great home design is the result of a deliberate, multi-layered, multi-step process. The ultimate test of this process is our on-site Prototype Walk, which occurs at the Framing Stage of construction. It’s here where we meet as a team: Architects, Production/Sales/Purchasing/Corporate Leadership to conduct a final, comprehensive design review. Walking the actual frame of the home, with some mechanical elements installed, ensures that our high standards for craftsmanship and livability are fully realized and that they’re consistent with the digital effort that preceded on-site construction.

We’ve found great success in this process and believe it’s something that sets us apart here at Front Light Building Company where our mission is to set a new standard in building and development. Take a look at some photos from a recent prototype walkthrough!
