We often get calls with the same thing in mind, “We need more storage”. Check out this before and after laundry room.

It’s fun to hear what thoughts and designs homeowners have, what reasons they have, their inquiry as to our thoughts and how we may suggest something a little different, or a tweak here and there. It’s fun to put these thoughts and designs on paper. It’s fun to create these ideas, build, and implement them into these existing spaces. Or even reshape the spaces to better fit. It’s all just fun and we are happy to help!

Clock the last photo to see how we had to lower the cat door once we realized amazons dimensions are not always accurate to the product specs (in this case, a litter box).

Some days the weather couldn’t be any better!

Concrete days can be tricky during the spring. One day it’s 55, the next 100. Sometimes there’s no clouds and sometimes you’re stuck in a hot damp blanket of humidity. Sometimes all of that in one day! But today…just enough clouds, just enough heat, and a little chance of rain to keep us on our toes.

Follow along on our stories as we build.. well, just follow along and you’ll find out!

We put the store in Restore, because we are a one stop shop!

We get asked if we are a water and fire restoration company, assuming because Restore is in our name. While we may be able to help with that, what we really mean is that we are a historical restoration company. We specialize in problem solving and executing the difficult, tedious, and often dirty tasks of keeping the character and charm of old homes alive! Repurposing hardware, using local sources to find matching trim, and having our Rolodex of like minded trades people to help us complete these projects.

So if anyone is looking to remodel or restore their home, we know a guy, gal, or other pal!

The word kitchen traces back to the Old English cycene, which evolved from…uh who cares? LOOK AT THIS KITCHEN!

Between the calming tones, clean lines, rounded corners, and everything in between there’s absolutely no way you don’t want this kitchen.

Thanks again to and for their efforts into making this happen. A shoutout to our electricians, plumber, Makton crew, and homeowners who all played the parts to make this come together.

*speaks one word in southern* Ya’ll…

This overcast, cool, spring Virginia day is just screaming for us to sit fire side. I’m thinking either a good book with coffee and light jazz or good conversation with friends and happy hour. How about both because you CAN have it all!

Foundation, structure, roofing/siding, MEP, insulation, drywall, floors, trim, cabinets, paint.

A home is just a house until you add your life to it. Your belongings, your style, your scent. Kids drawing on the walls, cats scratching the furniture, a mug falling on your hardwood floors. We do our best to give you the space you want to have, and you and your family do the rest!

Happy Wednesday!

Custom Venetian plaster hood vent.

Honestly, this is a good picture but it does not do justice to the natural beauty and tones that come from this type of material. What a fun project!

Nothing like some white cabinets and glossy teal tiles to brighten up our Easter weekend 🐣
What colors come to mind when you think of Easter? Let us know and we might try to persuade a client to add it into their remodel! Jk… maybe.

Peep *Easter pun intended* the transformation in the last photo 👀

As we wrap up this fun little bathroom project and start a new year, we remind ourselves not to forget to let go of the monkey bars.

It’s easy to get stuck, feel defeated and overwhelmed , be nervous about the future, and many other feelings that can keep up in place, but we have to let go to move forward. Remember, we are on the monkey bars! It should be fun and active and scary and all of that for the joy and pride we find when we’ve made it to the end.

So enjoy this bathroom update and use it as your reminder to have fun, let go, and grab that next bar!
