The new Berger-Seidle Pak-Stop!

Big thank you to Derr Flooring for coming out and demoing this product on one of our recent projects — and for putting together this awesome video! 👏

Pak-Stop is a hardwood floor filler designed to move with the natural movement of the wood instead of cracking and popping out over time. Definitely an exciting product for anyone doing hardwood restoration and refinishing.

We’re always looking for better products and better ways to deliver a quality floor that lasts. Great job on the video, Derr! 🔥

From unfinished to finished. 🔥

These stairs were part of a newer construction home, but the staircase had never received its final finish and had been sitting unfinished for a few years.

We came in and sanded and finished 3 full flights of stairs, along with the handrails and newel posts, bringing everything together with a beautiful finished look. Once the woodwork was complete, we painted all of the risers to really tie the staircase together.

The difference is pretty incredible — same staircase, completely different feel. The wood grain really came to life once everything was sanded properly and finished.

Another project we're really proud of. 👌

This project shows a few key steps that make a huge difference in long-term performance and finish quality:

🔵 PU280 moisture barrier to help control v***r transmission from the subfloor

💥 Full glue-down installation for stability and reduced movement

🟤 Coffee Brown stain sample on white oak to dial in color choice with the homeowner

🌡A hygrometer provided to the homeowners so we can keep an eye on relative humidity going forward and help protect the investment long-term

Small details like moisture control and proper prep are what separate a floor that just looks good from one that performs for years.
