The strongest part of a gunite pool is the part that you’ll never see. 💪

Ever wondered why gunite pools are built to last a lifetime? It starts right here. Before any concrete goes in, our crew builds a steel skeleton. Rebar is tied into a tight grid across the floor, up the walls, and around every curve and step, following the exact shape of the pool.
Next, gunite (a concrete mix sprayed at high pressure) gets applied around and over that steel. Once it cures, the concrete and rebar form one solid reinforced shell. It’s the same idea behind bridges, foundations, and commercial buildings.
That’s why a well-built gunite pool holds up to shifting soil, freeze-thaw cycles, and decades of family summers. The interior finish gets refreshed over the years, but the structure underneath is built to stay.
What you can’t see after the plaster goes in matters most, and this is that part.

It's Friday. Go stand in your backyard for a minute!

Seriously. Walk out there with your coffee and look at it.

Now picture what it could be. A pool shaped to fit that space exactly. A tanning ledge where the sun hits in the afternoon. A spa spilling over the edge. A patio that ties it all together so the whole yard feels like one place instead of three.

That's the conversation we have with families every week — and fall is when it starts. Design and planning now means swimming next season instead of watching it go by.

What's the one thing your backyard is missing? Tell us 👇 We read every comment.

It's National Ice Cream Day, and we have thoughts.

Namely: there is no worse place to eat a cone than standing in the driveway in July, watching it run down your wrist faster than you can keep up.

The fix isn't a smaller scoop. It's a better spot to sit.

A covered porch. A pergola over the patio. A deck with a fan running and room for everyone to pile in. That's where the cone stands a fighting chance — and where a ten-minute snack turns into three hours of everybody staying outside.

We'll build the backyard. The ice cream is on you.

Hey Richmond! This project is just in time for the cool weather!
There's something special about fall evenings outside: bundled up, a warm drink in hand, the people you love all around. Creating outdoor spaces where families can make new memories is what we do, and we couldn't be prouder of how this one turned out.

What do you think of this finished project? 👇 And if you're picturing something like this in your own backyard, drop your questions in the comments. We'd love to help you imagine the possibilities.
