Our friends at Carroll EMC need a helping hand after storm damage impacted their system.

Based in Carrollton, Georgia, Carroll EMC stepped up for our community after Hurricane Helene. Electric cooperatives work together through mutual aid agreements during times like these, and we’re more than happy to return the favor!

Once we’ve assessed any impacts to our territory and are fully in the clear, we’ll lend a helping hand to other cooperatives. We encourage everyone to be prepared, as tornadoes and high winds could cause power outages and damage.

Outage Update:

We’re aware of the power outage that affected approximately 2,700 members in the Glennville area last night.

The outage was caused when an animal entered a substation, resulting in an interruption of service. Our crews responded quickly, safely assessed the damage, and worked to restore power to affected members as quickly as possible.

We understand how disruptive an unexpected outage can be, and we appreciate our members’ patience and understanding while our crews worked to restore service.

Thank you to our line crews and operations teams for their quick response and dedication to keeping our communities powered!
