This patio started as a slope nobody used. We cut it in flat, set the pavers on a compacted base so it holds through a Morris County freeze and thaw, and let the beds soften the edges. Now it is the part of the yard the family sits in. If a grade is keeping you off part of your property, that is a solvable problem.

This is the view worth planning for. A backyard that works as hard through a NJ summer as it does once the humidity breaks, with a patio, mature plantings, and space that gets used every week.

The properties that look this good in late summer got there on purpose, one thoughtful decision at a time.

The yards people enjoy next summer are the ones being planned right now. Fall is the ideal time to build, cooler weather is easier on new plantings and fresh hardscape, and you get ahead of the spring rush.

Start the conversation now and the space is ready when you want it.

Some of the best projects start as a blank, underused yard. This Morris County property was reworked from the ground up, hardscape first, then plantings, then the details that make it feel finished.

A full rebuild changes how you use every part of the property, not just the view from the back door.

This patio doesn't look like this by chance. Every section gets formed and staked before any concrete goes down, so the pattern reads true edge to edge instead of drifting off line halfway through.

That same discipline is what holds a property together months later — bed lines cut crisp, a hedge held to one uniform height, turf striped in clean, even rows.

This is The BTS Way. What's the one detail you always notice first in a finished yard?

A yard build takes longer than most people expect, and that is a good thing. Planning, material selection, and permitting all happen before the first stone goes down.

Starting the conversation in late summer is how a project gets finished in time to enjoy it next season in Morris County.

The best backyards rarely start that way. This one went from an empty, sloped lot in Randolph to a full outdoor living space with a patio, plantings, and a place to gather.

Handling every piece of the process together is how a yard comes together without the gaps.

There is a difference between a lawn that gets mowed and a property that gets cared for. Crisp bed edges, healthy turf, and shrubs pruned to shape are what make a Morris County home look intentional from the street.

That level of detail is the whole point of consistent care.

Layered plantings. Bluestone steps that lead somewhere. A waterfall set in native boulders like it was always there. Nothing on this Morris County property happened by accident — the beds, the patio, the water feature, and the way the lawn meets the pond were all drawn to work together. Designed to belong here.
