Our team wrapped up a partial bathroom remodel in North Raleigh recently. What started as a leaking shower became an opportunity for the client to update the countertops, light, and build a new shower.

THIS or THAT? 👇 Drop your answer in the comments — we want to know which kitchen speaks to you!

On the left: the classic all-white farmhouse kitchen. Timeless, well-built, and for years the gold standard of Raleigh home design. Beautiful — but is it still you?

On the right: the 2026 custom kitchen. Deep sage cabinetry to the ceiling, a statement wood range hood, warm zellige tile, unlacquered brass, and a fluted walnut island that makes the whole space feel like it was designed just for the way you live.

Both are high-end. Both are well-crafted. But only one of them is going to make you stop in your tracks every single morning when you walk into your kitchen.

Which one wins in your home? Comment THIS or THAT below — and if neither is quite right, tell us what your dream kitchen actually looks like. We're listening. 👇

Getting a slab this size into place takes planning, precision, and a solid crew. Once installed, this island will become the centerpiece of the entire kitchen.

At Blue Bison Construction, we handle every step of the remodeling process — from demo to the final install — to create kitchens that are built to last and designed for how families actually live.

If you're thinking about a kitchen remodel in Raleigh, we’d love to talk.

Open floor plans don’t happen by accident.
They happen by engineering, planning, and doing it the right way.

On this project, we removed multiple load-bearing walls to completely open up the living space for a new kitchen—without compromising the structure of the home.

That meant:
• Temporary supports
• Proper beams and load calculations
• Clean ex*****on from demo to framing

The result?
It will be a brighter, large, more functional kitchen for our client.

If you’re dreaming about an open floor plan but worried about “Can this wall even come out?” — that’s exactly where we come in.

“Not all remodeling quotes include the same things.” ⚠️🏡

When homeowners compare remodeling quotes, they often assume they’re looking at apples to apples. Most of the time, they’re not.

Some quotes may leave out:
✔ Permits and inspections
✔ Design and planning time
✔ Proper structural work
✔ Realistic allowances
✔ Cleanup and protection of your home

A lower number on paper doesn’t always mean a lower cost in the end—it often just means more surprises later.

The right quote is the one that’s clear, complete, and honest about what it includes.

At Blue Bison Construction, we use 30+ years of experience and advanced estimating software like Buildertrend to ensure we are providing clients with detailed estimates listing the scope of work needed from pulling permits all the way through to final cleaning.

“Is remodeling right for us?” 🤔🏡

If you love your location but your home no longer fits your life, remodeling might be the right move. Before deciding, ask yourself:

✔ Do we need more space—or better use of what we already have?
✔ Does our layout create daily frustration?
✔ Would updating our home improve how we live and its long-term value?

The right remodel isn’t about trends—it’s about solving real problems with a smart plan and quality construction.

Still not sure if remodeling is right for you? Read our blog at https://bluebisonnc.com/2026/01/18/is-remodeling-right-for-us/

💬 Curious if remodeling makes sense for your home? Let’s talk.

Is Remodeling Right for Us? For many homeowners, the question isn’t whether they like their home—it’s whether their home still works for the way they live today. Families grow, lifestyles change, and what once felt perfect can slowly start to feel cramped, outdated, or frustrating. If you’re...
