BACK AT IT!!! Haven’t posted any pictures in a while due to my lack of bike riding skills. While I still feel in my head I’m in my 20’s my fragile muscles and bones disagree. Tried to teach my son I could wheelie a bike better then he could till I quickly realized not only couldn’t I wheelie I also couldn’t walk for 3 weeks after falling on my ass in front of our whole campground and crying on the ground like my 7 month old daughter. Very humbling moment to say the least. Tore my acl, tore my meniscus, bakers cyst, sprained knee. I continued to work for about 3 weeks in tremendous pain while waiting for drs appts, x-rays, mri, specialist, etc. Then finally once I seen Rothman ortho (Dr. Robert Frederick) he said “we’ll son, you did a real number here to your knee. Your gonna need surgery right away. Your recovery will be around 4-8 MONTHS!!”
Needless to say I cannot wait 4-8 months without working. I would loose everything I have worked so hard for in these last 5 years. So here I am 4 long boring sitting around loosing my mind weeks and I’m back at it. I’m taking it easy and trying to follow the drs orders the best I can but I have to pay my bills and support my beautiful family. Thank gosh for my amazing girlfriend Danielle Marie who works her tail off on and off the clock ALWAYS. My amazing kids Johnny Nolan and Peyton definitely gave me a run for my money while at home with them. But my mother said something to me one day while I was venting about how crazy Nolan was. She said try to enjoy these moments with them while your home, embrace them! I don’t realize how much I’m always working or running around and soon they won’t need to rely on us anymore and I know that I’ll probably wish they did. My beautiful mother Rich Duranto kept them most the days in the beginning while I was still crippled.
Moral of the story put your pride, ego, work, and selfishness to the side sometimes and take it easy. Don’t take life for granite because at any giving time, whether it be a accident or your own poor choice that seems harmless at the time anything and everything you have can all be taking away from you in an instant. And always remember if you have kids, there like a sponge they are gonna absorb everything they here and see us do, so always do the next best thing and your kids shall follow.
Sorry, Went a little further and longer then I thought but just felt necessary. I will be posting pictures of the current bathroom I am working on. Stay tuned for updates and pictures.
