Chinese drywall!

This air conditioner coil should be bright copper. I have heard of this problem from Chinese drywall but have never seen it. I was at a supply house today and they saw their first one brought back from a tract of homes in Buffalo Grove.

I guess all the copper water lines AND all the copper wiring in the home is being attacked and destroyed as well. Imagine the copper wires where they make connections to switches, outlets, breakers....

Change your filters, smoke alarm, and co alarms batteries TODAY. If you don't have co alarms it's the law. I've been to homes and seen the results and no, you don't want to see it.

Here's how we circumvent the "Energy saving" heat traps mandated on new water heaters. Before, he used to get instant hot water miles away at his furthest bathroom for free by a simple gravity return loop. Now I had to install a pump for about a thousand bucks. So lets see now. We have a pump installation at 1K, mining copper, and steel to make a bronze pump that uses ELECTRICITY, smelters, manufacturing, electronics, freight (air,sea,land), silver mining for solder, ...
Total fuel saving=negative. Sorry but the laws of physics always win. The only conservation going on here are the laws of conservation of energy.

Client felt even better when I replaced his clunker heating/cooling system when I showed him six cracks in his Lennox furnace. Design flaw. They always crack at this spot. Probably just enough carbon monoxide to let the family sleep well at night.

No heat. Gas meter vent relief blocked with ice. I had to beat it off with a hammer to get them going. Check your meter.

Was on a boiler call today at a home in Glenview I have been at a dozen times. Over 100 years old built before indoor water was an option. In the basement is a huge cement cistern and this place has the most beautiful hand plastered cove ceilings I have ever seen of all the ancient North Shore homes I have been in. The cove radius has to be 18" !

Anyway it was the home/place of business of the undertaker/casket maker.

This was his bench for fabricating caskets. This place better never end up a McMansion.
