Progress continues in San Diego on our Liberty Station Dual Brand Hotel, as the project transitions deeper into interior finishes, amenities, and site development.

Guestroom finishes are advancing floor by floor, while sitework has progressed into the future pool and pool house areas. Our team and trade partners continue pushing this waterfront hospitality project toward completion!

As the summer comes to a close, we’re proud to recognize Matthew Penney for his contributions to Cardella Construction Company.

He is entering his final year in Auburn University’s Bachelor of Science in Building Construction program, and spent the summer embedded with our project team at the 80,000 SF Terminal Expansion at Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP).

Throughout his internship, Matthew showed up ready to work, asked thoughtful questions, and consistently looked for ways to contribute. His experience included managing construction document redlines, documenting critical project meetings, working alongside senior team members during night-shift operations, assisting with the supervision of concrete pours, along with many other roles and responsibilities.

Thank you for your hard work this summer, Matthew. War Eagle!

Cardella Construction Company was proud to welcome Katie Birmingham, Northwest Florida District Director for U.S. Senator Rick Scott, and Associated Builders and Contractors of North Florida to the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) Terminal Expansion project last week.

Alongside ECP Executive Director Parker McClellan, we discussed the critical role infrastructure investment plays in supporting economic development, job creation, tourism, and continued growth throughout Northwest Florida. Cardella is honored to be a part of this process knowing the significant impact this expansion will have across each of those areas.

We appreciate Senator Scott’s office and ABC North Florida for visiting the project.

Construction continues to advance at RiverCamps in Panama City Beach.

Framing is nearing completion, MEP rough-ins are progressing, and site utilities are now complete. Window installation is next, marking an important milestone as the building becomes officially dried in. Siding and exterior painting are also scheduled to begin next week.

We’re proud of the steady progress made possible by our dedicated project team and trade partners as RiverCamps moves closer to completion.
