You’ve been pinning, dreaming, saving, and rearranging the same 47 images hoping it’ll somehow turn into a plan. But somewhere between the inspo and the actual call, most people just... stall... because they don’t know what to expect.

Here’s exactly what happens when you contact us. 👇

Step 1: A 15–20 minute phone call
No pressure. No pitch. We ask about your property, your goals, and your timeline — you ask us whatever you want. By the end, we both know if it makes sense to move forward.

Step 2: Site consultation
We come to you. We walk the property, assess the grade and drainage, and document what your lot actually needs. You get a clear picture of what’s involved before any design work begins.

Step 3: A written site analysis
You receive a summary of everything we found — the challenges, what they mean for your project, and what the path forward looks like.

From there, if you want to move into design, we build your full 3D plan so you can see exactly what you’re getting before you commit to anything.

That Pinterest board isn’t just a dream. It’s a starting point and we know exactly what to do with it.

The first step is just a conversation.
No obligation. No hard sell. Just an honest discussion about your property and what’s possible.

Comment START or send us a DM and we’ll take it from there. 🌿

Most homeowners have never worked with a true design-build firm so here’s exactly what working with us looks like every step of the way:

1. Initial call (15-20 min)
No pressure, no pitch. We ask about your property, your goals, your timeline, and your budget range. We tell you honestly whether we’re the right fit.

2. Site consultation
We come to your property. We walk the lot, assess grade and drainage, identify soil conditions, and document everything that will affect the design and the build.

3. Site analysis report
You receive a written summary of what we found — drainage challenges, grade requirements, soil conditions, and what they mean for your project.

4. 3D design phase
We build a dimensioned 3D model of your project. Every element is placed, graded, and reviewed. You see exactly what you’re getting before anything is approved.

5. Design review + revision
We walk through the design together. You ask questions, request changes, and approve the final plan. Nothing moves forward without your sign-off.

6. Material selection
We guide you through paver, stone, and plant selections — with recommendations based on your climate zone, soil conditions, and design aesthetic.

7. Permitting
We handle permit applications where required. We tell you upfront what your municipality requires and what the timeline looks like.

8. Build schedule
You receive a written build schedule before we start. You know who is on-site, when, and what’s happening each phase.

9. Construction
Our crew builds to the engineered plan. Site conditions are monitored throughout. If something changes in the field, you hear about it before we adapt.

10. Final walkthrough
We walk the finished project with you. Every element is reviewed. Your warranty documentation is delivered at completion.

No mystery. No vague timelines. No surprises.

If you’re planning a project for summer or fall, this is where it starts. Comment START or DM us.

Your backyard looks amazing, but....
does it disappear when the sun goes down?

Most Pittsburgh homeowners spend $80,000+ on their outdoor space only to stop using it after the sun goes down.

Here’s what you’re missing without landscape lighting:

• Dinner outside after work
• Kids playing until bedtime
• Hosting friends on a Friday night
• Actually seeing the space you paid for

Pittsburgh summers are short.

June. July. August (maybe September).

But that’s it.

So, if your backyard goes dark at sunset, you’re losing half of every single one of those nights.

Good lighting isn’t just pretty.

It’s what turns your backyard into a space you actually live in.

→ The right system lights your patio, your walkways, and your landscaping
→ It’s designed to last (not just look good in photos)
→ And it makes your home safer and more valuable

We’re booking outdoor lighting projects now for summer.

Comment LIGHTING below and we’ll show you what’s possible for your space.

Most homeowners spend thousands trying to fix a soggy yard with new grading, French drains, the works.

But sometimes the answer is already growing a few miles away.

Here are 3 native plants that actually absorb standing water in Pittsburgh yards. Save this (you’ll want it).

#1: Switchgrass
#2: Red Twig Dogwood
#3: Joe Pye W**d

All three are low-maintenance, come back every year, and cost a fraction of a French drain.

That said, if your yard has a serious drainage problem, plants alone won’t fix it. Water needs somewhere to go. The right solution combines proper grading, drainage infrastructure, AND the right plants working together.

Want to know what’s actually causing your drainage issue?

Comment DRAINAGE below 👇 and we’ll walk you through it — no obligation.

Got a slope in your Pittsburgh yard? Here’s what to plant on it.

These plants hold soil, handle our winters, and come back year after year.

→ Creeping Juniper — spreads fast, holds tight
→ Daylilies — easy to plant, spread on their own
→ Black-Eyed Susans — Pennsylvania native, zero fuss
→ Switchgrass — deep roots, looks great all season
→ Forsythia — serious holding power, beautiful in spring

Save this before your next nursery run.

And if your slope is steep or water is pooling near your house, plants are a start, but not the whole answer.

A lot of homeowners aren’t sure if they actually need a retaining wall or if it can wait. Here’s a simple way to know.

You probably need one if...
→ Dirt or mulch washes down the hill when it rains
→ The slope is so steep you can’t use that part of the yard
→ Water is pooling near your house after a storm
→ You want to add a patio or garden to a sloped area
→ You can already see an old wall cracking or leaning

You can probably wait if your slope is gentle and the grass is holding fine.

Here’s the thing: a small problem today can turn into a really expensive problem in a few years. Especially in Pittsburgh, where the ground freezes and thaws all winter. That movement adds up.

Not sure which one is you? Drop WALL in the comments and we’ll help you figure it out.

The projects that get the most use aren’t always the biggest patios. They’re the ones you can actually see after 7pm.

There’s a version of your backyard that exists only in daylight. And there’s the version that becomes the center of every summer evening dinner outside, drinks on the patio, the space your family actually gravitates toward.

The difference is almost always lighting.

Path lighting that guides guests without washing out the landscape. Uplighting that makes mature trees and stone walls look like they belong in a magazine. Entertainment zone lighting that’s warm enough for dinner but bright enough to actually see what’s on the grill.

We design lighting into every project from day one and not as an add-on, but as part of how the space functions after dark.

Because a $60,000+ patio that goes dark at sunset is only half a patio.

Tag someone who needs this in their backyard.
