Mid-Century Modern
What used to be called dated has entered its renaissance
Ten years ago, people were giving MCM furniture away
Now the same pieces command thousands
This 1954 gem was one of three homes born from a Carnegie Institute of Technology collaboration — the beginnings of what became Burt Hill Architects, later building commercial landmarks around the world
Fast-forward to today…
We were called in to reverse a failed remodel
Technically 90 percent “done”
But everything needed redone
Roof → replaced
Electrical → full re-wire
Paint → literally peeled off trim
Weeks of backtracking just to reach baseline
That’s where collaboration matters most:
Homeowner vision.
Architect goals
Designer detail
GC coordination
When trust is the foundation
Things flow
Our team brought it all together — subtle sheens, balanced tones, and statement piece installs:
✨ A mirror-finish powder room in deep burgundy
✨ A VeroMetal brass entry door you won’t find anywhere else in the metro
Once the art and furniture landed, everything meshed perfectly
The soul of 1954 — reborn for 2025.
