I very much appreciated Tim's knowledge, expertise, and patience. My agent pointed me to another home inspection agency, which was slow to respond, did not have openings, did not want me to be at the property at the time of inspection, and gave a much higher quote. I decided to go with Tim and I do not regret that decision. He responded right away and we were able to schedule our meeting the next day. He did not mind my questions and curiosities; he offered so many useful tips for small fixes and gave recommendations for potential issues. I think his rich experiences as a contractor prior to his career as a home inspector did give him sharp eyes toward small details that are easy to miss as well as bigger issues that he helped me evaluate.
I scheduled for a sewage inspection, which arrived fairly late and Tim did not mind waiting for that task to complete while he offered additional suggestions about windows and doors. I do see Tim as a knowledgeable advocate, which is so important for a stressful occasion such as purchasing a home.
Lastly, Tim is just a wonderful human being to spend sometime with!

Why get a PRE home inspection ?
The single biggest monkey wrench in the home buyers / sellers agreement
is often the home inspection. Alls going well, then up pops the old roof,
old furnace, old wiring, foundation crack, plumbing leak, and so on.
Now, buyer-seller realtors need to rush rush to get all this figured out, in the little time allotted,
to patch together this deal.

All of this could have been avoided by having a pre-inspection.
Seller / buyer can then disclose issues, repair in advance, adjust price...etc,
Bottom line...the sale will go alot smoother.

ATTENTION, Home buyer, seller or realtor: The home inspection is vital to this transaction. The problem is, the home inspector and or the inspection report can be a nightmare. You don't want a 75 page report full of boiler plate lingo and red flagging loose towel bars, a loose screw on a cabinet door, a burned out light bulb, etc. It's fine to mention these items, but they should be kept in perspective. Tim is the best home inspector we have dealt with. Over the years we have had 5 home inspectors but Tim is by far the most knowledgeable. He is thorough and direct - exactly what you need as a home buyer. He answered all questions we had, taught us what to look for and provided home owners education that will last.
