This past weekend at , we performed the Phi Sigma Pi Funeral Rite for Alex Spirer. It was a moving dedication to someone who had been so integral to Phi Sigma Pi and to NYMAAC. We are honored to have been able to gather so many who loved Alex and whose lives have been changed by all she built. Without her, few of us would be where we are today. Alex once again made Phi Sigma Pi history as this was the first time this ceremony had been performed. The ritual book was signed by all in attendance and will be preserved at National headquarters for posterity.

Today is NYMAAC's Founders Day. It is always a special day on our calendar, but this year hits a little different. One of our intrepid founders and stalwart champion of NYMAAC, Alex Spirer, passed away last week. We very literally would not be here without her. Her legacy lives on in NYMAAC and her memory will always be a special blessing to us. I know she would have posted these photos herself today if she were here to do so.
