Celebrating a Milestone: Congratulations, Casandra! 🎉
We’re proud to celebrate an incredible achievement by Casandra Rowan, who recently became the first woman in her union to earn her Pile Driver Certification!

Casandra has built her experience across a range of challenging projects and jobsites, including the Beaver River Bridge Project, Susquehanna, Havre de Grace, and now the Long Bridge Project in Virginia. Throughout her career, she has continued to embrace new opportunities, strengthen her skills, take on the demanding work to expand her experience in the field, leading to this latest milestone in her career.

Earning this certification is a significant accomplishment, and we couldn’t be more excited to recognize this milestone with her. Casandra shared the exciting news with our Women in Construction group, where her accomplishment was met with pride and celebration. It’s moments like these that remind us of the strength of a community that supports, encourages, and celebrates women as they build their careers in construction.

Giving back is an important part of building stronger communities. Our summer interns had the opportunity to volunteer with the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy , supporting the Trail Pittsburgh – Frick Park Invasive Species Removal Project.

Together, they got their hands dirty and helped remove invasive plant species using a manual, nonchemical method to create space for an enclosed area and allow native vegetation to thrive.

Clayton Hill in Frick Park is a valued resource that provides opportunities for recreation, connection, and environmental stewardship. This experience gave our interns the chance to work alongside one another outside the office while making a meaningful impact in the community.

We’re proud of our future leaders for dedicating their time and energy to making a difference. Thank you to the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy for providing such a rewarding opportunity to learn, serve, and help care for one of Pittsburgh’s treasured green spaces.
