Summary of a large deck job that I’ve been working off & on since last Fall. Customer had 20 year old (+/-) deck that they wanted to completely update.

Last Fall I removed all railing, decking, steps, etc. Discovered that original contractor installed deck joists at random spacing & that deck structure was weak.

Reused existing joists as much as I could; got rid of the 2 bump-outs that customer rarely used; reframed deck into larger rectangle shape (14’ x 20’) and installed new composite decking.

Then built a whole set of steps that provides ingress/egress to practically the whole yard.

Over the winter months and into spring, customer worked with specialty contractor to design/build a shed-type roof that spans the entire deck width & length.

After that was completed, I came back about a month ago and installed all new aluminum posts and railing. Than to top it all off, I removed existing vinyl siding and installed Adorn Stone Veneer product on exterior walls.

Here’s a set of pics that walk through the whole process.

Recently built an entrance platform and steps for a young couple who just moved into their new home in McDonald. They still have to pick-out a railing to put around the perimeter. Here’s before & after pics.

Here’s pics of a large, elevated deck that I recently framed for an SF resident. They have not yet ordered the deck boards and fencing/railing; that’s why it looks incomplete.

Couple of weeks ago, I finished a complete bathroom renovation for some church friends. Originally, they had a simple 1/2 bathroom that was immediately off of their bedroom. They asked if I could “make her dream come true” & build her a tile shower. After some exact measuring, etc. I figured-out a way to build her the tile shower she always wanted. Basically had to re-plumb the whole bathroom (new water & waste lines), also gave them a new GFI outlet that never existed. They picked-out the tile, but I hand-built a niche’ and a corner seat. Heres some pics of the job >> start to finish.

Showing a small job I did for a family this past Saturday morning. They had a basketball hoop they wanted taken down & couldn’t find anyone to do it. Took me about an hour to drop it, cut it up for the garbagemen, and grind down the existing concrete foundation so homeowner could safely cut the grass, etc. They were very pleased with my work and the end result(s)

Showing a front porch area that I rebuilt at my son’s house. Basically was a weekend project.

Porch was completely open to elements & the flys!!! 😂. Framed it out & and built/installed full- height custom screening. Also demo’d and built new front steps & re-painted the floor.

Now, he and his fiancé have a front porch area that’s much more useable. ❤️👍

Regarding the bathroom project in Sewickley, I also had to provide new plumbing (i.e. both water supply and sanitary lines) for the new bathroom.

What is shown below are before/after of the basement area where I accessed and/or connected into existing lines. The existing copper water lines were old, installed in a maze-like pattern & none of the valves really worked (ie. you couldn’t fully turn water off to washer & slop-sink).

Installed new Pex water lines and valves to new bathroom and re-did lines to washer and slop-sink as well.

Homeowners were very happy with finished product and how clean & functional the lines are now.

Showing ya’ll a closet to bathroom job I did a couple of months ago in Sewickley. They a small hall closet in their main foyer that they wanted convert into a 1/2 bathroom.

Required a boat-load of demolition work because none of the existing walls were plumb. Ran new electrical for ceiling light and GFI.

Hardest thing though was replicating the 1/2 moon arch. Had to build/create framing that was able to seamlessly match the other side of the arch.
