Good old wood shake nightmare for those of you who haven’t torn out wood shake it’s about like digging into a pile of splinters covered in coal dust. My entire crew turned midnight color by the end of it 😂

Brotha uuhhhh 🫣 definitely some water damage luckily the rafters seem to be fine. But we are just going to dry this in for now probably replace all the sheets later just need this water tight before this rain comes.

Your shingle nail pattern should look like this anything above that line is an easy target for wind damage and anything below that line is definitely a leak. And anything without that large gap near the stair step will cause a leak. And last but definitely not least if your stair step is under 6 inches you’re really asking for a lot of leaks on your roof especially roofs with a lower pitch or “flatter” roofs. There is a flaw in this picture point it out for bonus points. It was fixed tho. 🫡
