🌧️ Monsoon Monday: Why Did My Pool Turn Green After a Storm?
Arizona monsoon storms can change your pool water quickly. Even if your pool looked great before the storm, it can become cloudy or start turning green soon afterward.
Heavy rain, wind, and blowing dust introduce dirt, debris, and organic material into the water. Rain can also disrupt your pool chemistry and reduce effective chlorine levels. Combine that with warm Arizona water temperatures, and algae can take hold quickly.
After a major storm, be sure to remove debris, empty your baskets, check that your filtration system is running properly, and test your water chemistry.
Catching the problem early can be the difference between a quick adjustment and a full green-pool cleanup.
