In the first episode of our 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, we’re taking you behind the scenes of what happens after a project is awarded — before material reaches the site, before fabrication starts, and before the first cut is made.

𝗘𝗽𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝟭: 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝘂𝘁 shows how our project management and fabrication teams begin translating drawings, specs, site conditions, and project requirements into a plan the shop and field crews can execute.

The best roofing work is often found in the details.

At Elmwood Park Zoo, our team completed a Pac-Clad standing seam roofing system under a significant project deadline.

Our work began in October 2023, with the project needing to be completed by May 2024. That timeline meant moving quickly to get the roof installed before snow, frost, and winter conditions could prevent progress.

The scope included standing seam metal panels, gutters, fascia, copings, and roofing flashing. Large panels were craned onto the roof in crates, requiring careful planning and coordination from the start.

Throughout the project, our team worked daily with the GC to keep the schedule moving and make sure the work stayed on track.

One of the biggest achievements was solving the intricate tie-in details between the windows and the standing seam panels — the kind of transition work that requires planning, field accuracy, and attention to finish quality.

A completed project we’re proud of, built through coordination, precision, and strong field ex*****on.

𝟰𝟱,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗦𝗙. 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆. 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲.

When Metal Alliance took on the McElroy Metal Service Center reroof in Wi******er, VA, we knew the logistics would test us. A 4-hour haul from our shop. A job that called for 3 crane days minimum. And 45,000 SF of 24 ga, 24" McElroy Trap Tee panels to install over an existing roof system with roof hugger and condensation blanket insulation.

Our team? They finished the crane work in a single day.

Fabricating panels onsite, right on the roof, lifted into place by crane as fast as we could roll them.

33,400 SF rolled in one day at elevation. The rest finished on the ground. No shortcuts. No excuses. Just Metal Alliance doing what we do.
