“It works” isn’t an indicator of good electrical work.

We removed this from a Bucks County home this week.

Someone ran lamp cord inside the wall from a switch to power a fluorescent light in the drop ceiling.

Yes — the light turned on.

But:
• Lamp cord isn’t rated for in-wall installation
• It has no equipment ground
• It was protected by a 15A breaker it wasn’t designed for

If that fixture developed a fault, the metal housing — or even the ceiling grid — could have become energized without tripping the breaker.
That’s the difference between something functioning… and something being installed correctly.

In homes like yours, electrical work shouldn’t just “work.”

It should be installed properly, protected correctly, and built to last.

These digital calendars are great for busy families! Unfortunately they're not easy to mount with the "floating" look out of the box. The mount and wiring provided is designed to be run on the surface of the wall and doesn't give a very finished look.

Remember that some wires are designed to be run inside of walls, and some aren't. Make sure you follow code with any electrical installation!

This is how a GFCI is supposed to work.
Press test — power shuts off.
Reset — power returns.

If yours doesn’t behave this way, it’s not protecting you the way it should.

A GFCI is designed to shut power off instantly when something isn’t right — but only if it’s installed and functioning correctly.

If it won’t reset, trips unexpectedly, or was never installed where required, that’s a safety issue worth addressing.

We had the honor of joining both the Yardley and Newtown Christmas parades, and wow… what a turnout. Seeing neighbors, families, and local businesses all celebrating together is what this season is all about.

And yes — the snow machines were working overtime ❄️😂
Nothing like watching the whole street turn into a snowy drift while everyone cheers and laughs.
