And this is why your Flower Fairy will never be a cottage baker. 😂🎃

I woke up this morning and thought, how hard can pumpkin muffins be?

Well… apparently baking soda is a very important part of the process. 🤦🏼‍♀️
And yes, I do know that. Apparently my pre-coffee eyes just decided that line of the recipe did not exist. 😂

Did I forget it completely? Yes.
Are they fluffy muffins? Absolutely not.
Do they taste delicious anyway? Also yes. 😂

So what I actually made was more of a very cute, very dense little pumpkin loaf disguised as a muffin.

I think I’ll stick to flowers… and sampling all of the amazing local bakers who clearly know what they’re doing. 😂🌻🧁

Four Flower Fairy bouquets made their way out today. 🌻💛

One was a special request, and the other three were left around Waterville waiting for whoever happened to find them.

A couple had a little extra surprise tucked in too, which was fun. ✨

I’m so happy the sunflowers are still giving me enough to keep these going a little longer. Four more bouquets out into the community today. 🌸

Check out this Perrysburg hidden gem! 💛

She always has the most beautiful mums, and in the spring her veggie and herb starts are some of the healthiest I’ve found. 🌿🌼 Plus, her prices seriously can’t be beat.

Definitely worth adding to your local shopping list!

What’s happening on the farm: Yes!! We have mums!! Every year I pick my favorite. This year I’m in love with this orange beauty. It is stunning!! This color is definitely going to be on my own front porch! If your house sits back from the road consider brighter colors such as white, yellow or orange in lieu of pastels which could look washed out from a distance. Also consider the color of your house (or fence, etc) when choosing colors. Plant in a larger pot if possible and water every day. Water until it’s running out the bottom of the pot. Pick off the spent blooms and your mum should look great for several weeks. Choose mums where the flowers are just starting to open for a longer bloom time. If you are planting them in the ground do it as soon as possible. They should be planted at least 6 weeks before frost. We have so many beautiful colors it will be hard for you to choose! Shop early to get your favorites! Cash or check only. Opening day is September 10th. See you at the farm!! P.S. We also have asters and celosia.

Back home and reunited with my flowers. 🌻💛

Although apparently I came home just in time for Mother Nature to turn the heat all the way back up. 😂 I hope everyone is staying cool and taking care of themselves through this heat wave.

The good news? The sunflowers are STILL blooming like crazy. 🌻

So I’ll be putting together a few bouquets this weekend to get back out into the community, and I’d love your help deciding where they should go.

If there’s a specific park, coffee shop, business, library, little free library, community spot, etc. where you’d love to see a Flower Fairy drop, tell me in the comments. The more specific, the better. 😂 Sometimes coming up with multiple places on the spot is harder than it sounds, and unfortunately this Flower Fairy only has one brain.

The slightly sad news is that we’re definitely starting to creep toward the end of flower season.

Once the sunflowers slow down, my blooms will start becoming fewer and farther between. I do still have zinnias going, and I planted another round at the beginning of August that I’m REALLY hoping gives me one last big pre-frost show. 🤞🌸

So we’re not done yet, but I’m definitely starting to soak up every bouquet I get to make from here on out.

And I cannot wait to see what our final bouquet count ends up being before we officially close out this first Flower Fairy season and start dreaming about next year.

…which, let’s be real, I’ve already started doing. 😂💛

Apparently The Flower Fairy has an assistant manager now. 😂🌻

While I’m out of town for work, Mr. Flower Fairy had an estimate today for a salon owner and decided one of the bouquets would look pretty in her salon.

So what did he do?

He went into the garden, cut the flowers, put the whole bouquet together himself, added the little butterfly, AND took pictures before heading out. 😭💛

I’m not even home and somehow the flowers are still finding people.

I have a feeling Mr. Flower Fairy may be getting promoted after this one. 😂🧚‍♂️🌸

A little local Saturday before this Flower Fairy heads out of town for work. 💛

I started my morning with a stop at Pemberwood & grain and picked up a few goodies, because apparently I cannot pass up good bread and baked treats. 😂

Then it was off to The Yellow Moose for a few more favorites.

And because my sunflower patch decided to absolutely explode right before I leave town… SURPRISE. 🌻

I left a few jars of fresh-cut sunflowers at The Yellow Moose stand for anyone who wants a little sunshine.

Stop by, grab yourself a treat, and take a free sunflower or two home with you. 💛

Today’s flowers are a little more personal. 🌻💛

This bouquet isn’t headed out for a Flower Fairy drop. I made it for a family I love very much as we say goodbye to someone I grew up knowing.

She loved sunflowers, so when I started putting this together, I knew they needed to be everywhere. Every one was grown in my little garden, and there was a lot of love behind choosing each bloom and putting them together.

I’ll be taking these with me to the funeral home today for her mom and family. I hope they bring even the smallest bit of warmth and comfort into a day that I know will be incredibly hard.

Sometimes flowers are for celebrating. Sometimes they’re for surprising a stranger.

And sometimes they’re simply how we say, we love you, we’re thinking of you, and we’re here. 🌻

Just one little Flower Fairy drop today, but this one has an extra surprise. 🌸💛

These flowers were left in Maumee near the Uptown Maumee Farmer's Market, along with a Pumpkin Patch Trip car diffuser from Parchment & Poured. 🎃✨

They were kind enough to share a few wax melts and car diffusers with me to sprinkle into future drops, so you never know when a Flower Fairy bouquet might come with a little something extra. 🧚🏼‍♀️

I love getting to work with local small businesses to add even more joy to these surprises. Thank you, Parchment & Poured, for helping me spread a little extra kindness. 💛
