Rebuild a front porch damaged by Hurricane Sally. Old houses always have hidden surprises and this one did not disappoint. Over its long life it has been butchered buy previous homeowners who used whatever was on-hand to make repairs. Photos don't lie. Regular 1/2" plywood covered some of the worst framing I have encountered. 2 x 4's were scabbed onto other joist members as a repair. Nothing was correct. The new porch has been beefed up beyond what was required by the plans. A new roof has been installed on all the house and all that remains to do is pour the walk/ steps, some siding repairs and hand rail.

Covid 19 project. Practicing my social distancing and fulfilling a promise made. Original porch structure was wooden. Appears to have been filled in in 60's when termite damage was tackled.removed the old brick stem wall which had no real footer. Digging new footing to pour next week. Will get a new CMU stem wall and a concrete cap. More pics to follow.

Noble Productions cut out these two arches on their CNC machine. They are exactly what the Christopher's envisioned. Siding will get finished Monday as well as the Versatex trim for the gable vents.
