Exciting new program:
There’s something sacred about a Christmas tree.
It’s more than lights and ornaments — it’s hope. It’s the quiet reminder that someone cares.
But in our own Tri-Towns, there are children who may wake up to very little… and senior citizens who quietly go without so others can have what they need. No child should feel forgotten on Christmas morning. No senior should feel unseen during a season meant for joy.
That’s why Friends of the Community Upstate and Pelzer Mill Hill Outreach are launching The Giving Tree Programs .
We will be presenting this vision to each of the Tri-Towns with the hope of placing a Giving Tree inside every town hall — a tree dedicated to the citizens of that town. Neighbors helping neighbors. Community loving its own well.
Citizens will be able to apply for assistance within their town (through Friends of the Community Upstate), and others will have the opportunity to sponsor a child or senior right here at home.
