Against The Grain Gifts Your site for specialty handmade gifts for all ocassions. I started woodworking as a hobby in 2010. All items are made by me here in my own home.

I had dabbled off and on over the years but finally started working at it full time in my spare time then. This is my little site to sell my extra pieces in hopes of helping to offset the costs of continuing my own private obsession! Whenever possible I use local materials and make any additives such as dyes myself from nontoxic ingredients. Unless otherwise noted, I make no claims that any items are FOODSAFE for use as a utensil or dish.

Recovering from a short hospital stay of my own last week and the two months or so of helping mom after she broke a couple of vertebrae. Lots of plans for new projects, just not up to working on them yet! Hope everyone had a good holiday the first of this month, be it the 4tg, Canada day or Bastille day!

Doing the First Friday show at Studio Unknown on 123 in downtown Greenville again the first Friday in December. Expect to see a packed house again this month so come out and enjoy the show and the food truck in back is also run by a friend of mine and the food rocks so make an evening of it!

Walking sticks I customized for a friend earlier this year... Dragonsticks was the request... first is a take on a Viking longboat figurehead and the second is a take on a Chinese water dragon influenced by the crocodile like eye bump on top of the handle...
