I’ve had several calls from homeowners asking what they need to do to prepare for the weather that is coming. Most swimming pools are equipped with freeze protection, which keeps the water moving during freezing temperatures. As long as the power stays on, these pools should be protected. You may want to cover your equipment with a tarp to protect it from wind & add an extra layer of protection. Be sure to keep the tarp away from hot surfaces (motor, etc.) as that could become a fire danger. If we lose power, that’s when we will see problems very quickly. This video gives step-by-step instructions on how to drain your equipment to avoid freezing pipes and big problems!
