Apprenticeships in action šŸ’Ŗ

Here’s what we’re building at ElectriCom — not just infrastructure, but the workforce behind it:

šŸ”§ 5 Active Apprenticeship Programs

⚔ Power Apprenticeships
• 55 Graduates
• 23 Active (including 9 new apprentices this year)

🌐 Telecom Apprenticeships
• 64 Graduates
• 70 Active (including 31 new apprentices in 2026)

šŸ“ˆ Growing every year.
Behind every number is a person gaining skills, confidence, and a long-term career in the trades.

ElectriCom is proud to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week alongside the U.S. Department of Labor, ApprenticeshipUSA, WIA, and PCCA.

This year’s theme — ā€œAmerica at Work: Making America Skilled Again through Registered Apprenticeshipā€ — reflects the work we’re doing every day across our Telecom and Power divisions.

We currently sponsor five Registered Apprenticeship programs:
• UUIT
• OUIT
• Fiber Optic Technician
• Line Maintainer (Journeyman)
• Utility Foreman

These programs aren’t just training — they create real career pathways, strengthen our workforce, and support the safe, high-quality infrastructure our communities depend on.

To our apprentices, mentors, and crews — thank you for the work you do every day to build the next generation of skilled professionals.

Safety isn’t a slogan here—it’s how we operate.

Our TRIR has dropped from 1.87 in 2020 to 0.58 in 2024, reflecting a culture built on accountability, training, and continuous improvement.

Because safer crews deliver more reliable projects—for our clients and our communities.

Today, we recognize the men and women who keep our communities powered — often in the toughest conditions, and always with safety at the forefront.

At ElectriCom, our lineworkers represent more than skill in the field.

They represent discipline, accountability, and a commitment to doing the job right the first time.

From routine system upgrades to storm response, their work is what keeps critical infrastructure running — and communities connected.

We’re proud of the crews who show up every day with that responsibility in mind.

Thank you to all lineworkers for the work you do and the standards you uphold.

Storm response requires preparation long before severe weather arrives.

Crews continue strengthening power infrastructure and maintaining distribution systems so utilities like Laurens CPW are ready when conditions change.

Preparation in the field helps communities recover faster when storms hit.

ElectriCom was proud to be at the Mitchell High School career fair this week connecting with the next generation of skilled trades professionals.

John McFarland and Liz Phillips spent time with students sharing what a career in utility infrastructure really looks like — from hands-on field experience to long-term career pathways in both telecom and power.

At ElectriCom, building infrastructure is only part of what we do.
We’re also committed to building the workforce that supports it.

Through structured training, apprenticeship programs, and real-world field experience, we’re helping develop the people who will keep rural communities connected for decades to come.
