Paired with Westbury black aluminum railings, this build has the kind of contrast that makes both the deck and the house look sharper.

Stamped concrete, dark aluminum rails, and a screened porch — stacked on top of each other and built to work as one.

This project had a lot going on. Upper level: screened porch with new screens and a ceiling fan for airflow. The deck wraps around with fresh dark railings and clean composite stairs. Underneath: a waterproofed under-deck system that keeps the lower level completely dry.

And at ground level — a stamped concrete patio with broad steps leading out to the yard. No wasted space.

The framing, the drainage, the materials — everything was planned so each level supports the next. That's what it takes when you're building vertically like this. You can't cut corners on the structure and expect it to hold up.

This homeowner went from an underused backyard to two full levels of outdoor space they'll actually use year-round.

Trex Lineage Hatteras on the stair treads. Black Westbury Tuscany rails. 4-inch posts anchoring the base. A new front door pulling the whole thing together.

This porch had good bones, but the stairs needed to be completely rebuilt. We reframed them properly so we could add picture framing — that clean border detail you see around the edges. It's a small thing that makes a big visual difference, but it only works if the framing underneath is planned for it from the start.

The Westbury Tuscany rails in black against those natural wood posts give it contrast without competing. And the Trex Lineage Hatteras treads mean these stairs won't need staining, sealing, or replacing every few years.

Built to last. No maintenance headaches.
