Tomorrow is the day they announce Grammy nominees. It’s the time they’ve narrowed down the handful of submissions received in each category. My latest holiday album, Dream Me Home for Christmas, is in the Best Traditional Pop Vocal album category, which is pretty competitive and features waaaaay more popular singers than me. Still happy to be included in the line up of choices and bring to life some fantastic music from stellar songwriters. Thank you so much to Gavin Glynn for helping me share my album with all the voting members for their consideration. It’s such a beautiful, diverse album with all-new holiday music.

Today, I humbly accept the outcome of this election, though it means conceding to someone whose leadership I wholeheartedly question. Nonetheless, democracy is built on the principles of choice and acceptance, even when the path forward isn’t what we envisioned. I’m choosing to honor the voice of the people with grace and resilience, embracing the power of civility and unity. Moving forward, I’ll continue to stand for the values I believe in and will always strive to be a positive force, knowing that true strength lies in rising above and seeking a better future together.
I will continue to “Be The Light.”

No one is immune to difficult times. In challenging times, gratitude shifts our focus from what’s missing to what we still hold close—the love, support, and simple joys that remain steady through the storm. Even in moments of struggle, there’s always something to be thankful for: the lesson in the hardship, the unexpected kindness, or the strength we discover within ourselves. Gratitude doesn’t erase the difficulty, but it gives me hope and perspective to keep moving forward. Today, I choose to honor both the challenges and the blessings because there is so much to be thankful for.
