Several questions today have been about emergency disconnect requirements and storm damage.

If your meter base, service mast and service conductors are the ONLY things that were damaged and require repairs or replacement, an outdoor emergency disconnect upgrade IS NOT REQUIRED and you can simply replace the old meter base and service conductors with new equipment.

If you replace your indoor breaker box, an outdoor emergency disconnect upgrade IS required.

See the exception to 2023 NEC 230.85(C) below.

Make sure you use LICENSED electricians for your storm damage repairs. I already have multiple reports of handymen and fly by night contractors trying to do work.
